Leave Concession

Responsibilities of Indian Navy Officers

The Indian Navy Officers are given training in driving, gunnery, submarine warfare, etc. The duties that the navy officer has to perform are –

1. Navigation – The navy officer must know using various satellite and radar equipment to navigate the Indian personnel.

Qualifications Required to Become an Indian Navy Officer

• The candidates must clear their 12th class with a minimum percentage of 60%. After clearing the 12th standard, they can either go for the NDA exam. The candidates who pass the NDA exam undergo four-year training. If the candidate has scored 70% in their 12th class, they can opt for a technical entry scheme and undergo four years of training.
• The candidate must complete their graduation from any stream.
• The candidate must appear for the UPSC exam, which is followed by the physical examination.
