GSTR-9 is an annual return form comprising particulars of inward and outward supplies made and received during the applicable financial year. Every financial year, GSTR-9 is filed by a GST-registered person electronically. These forms change from time to time and are published through CBIC notifications. After evaluating the issues faced by persons known as taxpayers in completing the filing and after persistent requests from industry professionals and business corporations, the Ministry of Finance has ultimately received the proposal to streamline the form.
Did you know? Registered persons with a turnover of more than ₹5 crores must file both GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C, which are an Annual Return and a Reconciliation Statement, respectively.
